Grab your walking shoes and wander along the Berrima River Walk. This scenic walk along the Wingecarribee River on this easy 1.8 km trail, starting at the Berrima Picnic and Camping Grounds via Oxley Street. Along the way, discover fascinating stories of WWI German internees through 17 interpretive signs, and keep an eye out for local wildlife. The track is kid-friendly, dog-friendly, and rich with history — the perfect school holiday outing!
Dive into Berrima’s rich history with a visit to the Berrima Courthouse, where you’ll uncover tales of bushrangers, courtroom dramas, and colonial life sure to spark young imaginations. Then pop over to the Berrima District Museum for interactive displays and fascinating exhibits about the early days of the village — a fun and educational adventure for the whole family!
Pack a picnic or pick up delicious pastries, cakes, and coffee from Berrima General Store Café , Baked In Berrima , or Gumnut Patisserie (just across from the park). Then head to Market Place Park, where the kids can enjoy the playground and there’s plenty of space for everyone to unwind.
Kids will love stepping into Lolly Swagman in the heart of Berrima — a magical old-fashioned lolly shop packed with colourful sweets, chocolates, lollipops, handmade fudge, and treats from around the world. It’s a place to spark childhood memories and make new ones, with something to delight every young sweet tooth these school holidays. Find the Lolly Swagman on the main street, just past Berrima’s Overflow and down the steps.
Treat the kids (and yourself!) to a memorable winter feast at Zen Oasis Garden Restaurant during their 2025 Seasonal Buffet on July 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th, from 12 noon to 2pm. Held inside their spacious and welcoming Woodshed venue, this Asian vegetarian and vegan buffet has loads of delicious dishes to keep tummies happy. Once everyone’s had their fill, the kids can burn off some energy exploring the peaceful gardens or strolling around the ornamental lake while you soak up the calm atmosphere.
