Berrima Locals

Berrima is Blooming. I have lived and worked in Berrima for over 20 years and I have never know such energy, excitement and community spirit that we have around us now. I feel totally privileged to be part of it.

Berrima’s Overflow

Living and working in Berrima is the best lifestyle choice I have ever made. I feel very honoured to be apart of this very special community of locals and businesses surrounded by Australian history and exquisite countryside.

When we opened The Berrima General Store and Baked in Berrima we never envisaged it would become so much apart of the community. We love the smell of our freshly baked bread filling the air, the amazing people we have met and the nature on our doorstep! It is an honour to be in Berrima

Nice to be running a business in the beautiful village I grew up in. So many fond memories that make it such a personal experience.

The Amazing History….because the village is the best example of an intact Georgian village on mainland Australia and I feel deeply connected to our colonial history. Every building tells a story.

The present and the past in Berrima walk side by side harmoniously in a unique milieu. Mixed amongst an assortment of retail businesses, our colonial history and its architecture are ever present. Having the privilege of playing a small part in conserving the balance of the mercantile imperative’s and Berrima’s historical significance has been and is an honour.

Walking our golden retriever ‘Buddy of Berrima’ we enjoy collecting our mail at the Post Office and then a coffee at The General Store. We are spoilt with choice for dining out with excellent restaurants, café’s and the local pub and you can walk home. Berrima Village life is special.

Opening Whitewall Art Projects Gallery in Historic Berrima allows us to enjoy the collision of the classical setting with both Australian and International Contemporary Art. Its in the juxtaposition of classic and contemporary that the magic happens.
